Boost your efficiency and streamline FlexDoc creation with time-saving keyboard shortcuts.

Updated over a month ago

Keyboard shortcuts are simple combinations of keys that allow you to perform actions—like formatting text, adding links, or navigating your FlexDoc—without ever having to take your hands off the keyboard.

By mastering these shortcuts, you can significantly speed up your workflow and reduce the repetitive clicking required to access various menus.

In the tables below, you will find a list of available shortcuts designed to help you navigate and edit your FlexDoc with ease.

Formatting

There are two main ways to use the formatting shortcuts: you can turn on formatting before you start typing, or you can apply/remove it to existing text you have highlighted.

Option 1: Formatting as you type

This option applies formatting as you type so that your text has a specific look (e.g., bold or italics).

To format text as you type:

  1. Turn on the formatting you want to use by pressing the shortcut (e.g., Ctrl+B for bold).

  2. Type your text. Any text you type will be formatted.

  3. Turn off the formatting by pressing the same shortcut again (e.g., Ctrl+B).

Option 2: Formatting existing text

This option applies formatting to some selected text.

To format existing text:

  1. Select the text with your mouse by clicking and dragging the cursor over the words you want to format. Or, select the text by using the selection keyboard shortcuts below:

    • Shift+Ctrl+[Left/Right arrow]: Highlights one word at a time.

    • Shift+Home: Highlights everything from your cursor to the start of the line.

    • Shift+Ctrl+End: Highlights everything from your cursor to the very end of the page.

  2. Press the shortcut for the formatting you want to apply. If the text is already formatted, pressing the shortcut again will remove it.
