Updated over 4 weeks ago

Batch actions let you quickly do something to multiple items at once, saving you time and effort. For example, you can use batch actions to quickly assign multiple assets to a user.

Performing batch actions

You can perform batch actions in many areas throughout the system.

Selecting multiple cards

On pages featuring cards, such as the Users page or Knowledge Center, you can select multiple cards at the same time.

When you hover over a card, a checkbox will appear—click it to select the card.

The Knowledge Center. The user's cursor is hovering over the card for an asset called Automated Reaction Inspection System. An arrow is pointing to the checkbox on the card that appears while hovering over it.

To unselect the card, click the checkbox again.

Repeat this process to select multiple cards, then use the header to pick the action you want to perform. This action will apply to all of your selected items.

The Knowledge Center. Three assets' cards are selected. An arrow is pointing to the Assign and More Actions icons in the header which can be clicked to perform an action on all three selected assets.

If you want to select all of the cards on a page, follow the steps above to select a card and then use the Checkbox icon (minus). Checkbox icon to select the rest. To unselect everything, click the checkbox again (now represented by a Checkbox icon (check).) or use the Clear button.

The Knowledge Center. All the assets' cards are selected. An arrow is pointing to the checkbox beside the Knowledge Center name. Another arrow is pointing to the Clear button.
