Creating a task

Learn how to create and assign tasks in Joy to keep users on track and engaged.

Updated today

A task is something that you want a user to do. For example, you may want a user to view a knowledge asset such as a FlexDoc or file.

Whenever you assign an asset to a user, a task is created on their Tasks page.

To assign an asset to a user, follow these steps:

  1. Find the asset in the Knowledge Center.

  2. Hover over the asset’s card to reveal a checkbox.

  3. Click inside the checkbox to select the asset. If you select more than one asset, Joy will automatically create a separate task for each one.
