The Knowledge Assistant gives you instant access to multiple AI-powered experts that can provide accurate answers, generate content, and more! You can think of these Assistants as your personal helpers.
The Knowledge Assistant
Click the
Knowledge Assistant icon to open the Knowledge Assistant.
The
Knowledge Assistant icon appears on every page in Joy, allowing you to get expert assistance wherever you are.
When you first open the Knowledge Assistant, you will see two columns:
Projects and Chats: Lists the projects you have access to and all your past chats.
Chat: Where you talk to an Assistant.
Along the top are icons to hide your projects and chats (
) and close the window (
). The
Knowledge Assistant icon itself also serves as a way to close the window when it is open.
Starting a new chat
To start chatting with an Assistant, click New Conversation, then choose an Assistant. Each Assistant has its own purpose or areas of expertise.
Type your question or request (called a prompt) into the chat, then press the ENTER key. The Assistant will reply right away.
When you send your first message, Joy uses it as the name of the chat and includes it in your list of projects and chats. This makes it easy to find previous chats, allowing you to review them or continue where you left off.
We recommend starting a new chat whenever you switch to a new topic or task to get the best responses and keep your chat history organized. For example, you might have one chat that’s related to a specific client, a different chat focused on a service that’s offered by your organization, and another where you go to discuss your organization’s internal policies.
Continuing a chat
If you have previously chatted with an Assistant, you can pick up where you left off or view the entire conversation history.
Find the chat you want to continue in the Projects and Chats column.
Click on the chat.
Copying a response
You can easily copy an Assistant’s answer in the chat (called a response) to share with someone or use elsewhere.
To copy a response, click the
Copy icon below it.
For example, you may copy a response to include it in an email, document, or wherever you need it. Whenever possible, the pasted response will retain its original formatting (bullets, bold text, etc.).
Repositioning the Knowledge Assistant
You can move the Knowledge Assistant to appear anywhere on your screen, keeping it out of the way while still easily accessible.
To move the Knowledge Assistant, click in the top section of the window and drag it to a new position.
Resizing the Knowledge Assistant
To change the size of the Knowledge Assistant, click and drag the
Corner icon.
Closing the Knowledge Assistant
When you’re done using the Knowledge Assistant, you can hide it by clicking the
Close icon or the
Knowledge Assistant icon.
Hiding the Knowledge Assistant closes the window but keeps your chats saved so that you can access them later.
