FlexDoc Editor: Pages and publishing

This page covers how to use the FlexDoc Editor to manage the elements surrounding your FlexDoc content, such as the title and page structure.

You can get to the FlexDoc Editor by creating a new FlexDoc or editing an existing one.

Renaming a FlexDoc

A FlexDoc’s name is displayed on its card in the Knowledge Center, in the FlexDoc Admin panel, and when viewing the FlexDoc's content.

Change the name of the FlexDoc from the FlexDoc Editor by double-clicking the current name.

Enter the name you want to give the FlexDoc, then click Done or press Enter.

Adding a page

A page is a screen within your FlexDoc where you can add text and images. Use pages to organize and group content in your FlexDoc.

Each new FlexDoc automatically includes a blank page so that you can start adding content right away. To add another page, click +Page.

In the tree menu, you can quickly switch between your pages.


Renaming a page

Give each page a meaningful name that tells others what it is about. To rename a page, double-click on the current name, then replace it with your desired text.

Press Enter to save the name.


Moving a page

Click the More Actions icon. More Actions icon and select Move Up or Move Down to change the order of pages. You can also click and hold the Drag icon. Drag icon to move the page to a new position.

Deleting a page

Deleting a page from your FlexDoc removes the page and all of its content. To remove a page, click the More Actions icon. More Actions icon and select Delete.


Saving a draft

To save any changes, including content changes, click Done. This saves a draft of the FlexDoc with all of your recent changes. You can have one draft of a FlexDoc at a time. Any additional changes you make and save will update the draft.

Use the View dropdown to switch between viewing your draft and the published version of the FlexDoc.

Changes you’ve made to a FlexDoc will not be visible to other users until you publish the FlexDoc.


Publishing a FlexDoc

When you’re ready to make your draft public, click Publish. Publishing a FlexDoc makes the content visible to all users.
